Calories of Food und Beverages and their Annihilation
Scope
This page tells you, how much you can eat or drink of specified foods and beverages in order to gain 100 kCal, and contrasts this information with some activities in order to consume 100 kCal. Or in other words: "How many minutes do I need to jog in order to get rid of that chocolate?"

Technical Notes

The used scales,
accurate to the gram
The scales in the pictures are included just for comparison purposes. The surface area of the scales measures 15.8 cm x 15.8 cm. The scales are accurate to the gram. Where a container (such as a glass, plate or bowl) has been used in the pictures, its weight was deducted from the total weight.
Consumption calculations are based on a person with a weight of 70 kg. Note, however, that sex, height, age and overall physical constitution play a role as well: it is impossible to give accurate values in general. This means, that the consumption column has to be treated with some caution.
